Steam wood chips are a more convenient way of using wood as a fuel as it is, mechanically speaking, easier to pump it to the big industrial boilers. We produce our wood chips from energy logs, which are not suited for lumber production and sawmill residues. Wood chips opposed to fossil fuels have less impact on climate since during the lifetime of the product the tree, from which the wood chips are produced, captured all of the carbon. Many studies argue whether it is a sustainable way of using forests but no one argues that it is by far a more sustainable way to produce heat and electricity.
